Dear Friends and Supporters,
The education of a child is a critical partnership between the student, their parents, the teacher and a supportive community. Family Connections’ 5th annual “Night of Dreams,” held at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club on February 23rd, celebrated and raised necessary funds for this partnership and the important work we are doing together on behalf of the low-income families living in our community.
We wish to thank everyone who contributed generously to “Night of Dreams.” We are proud to report that the 245 guests in attendance helped raise an impressive $205,000. Additionally, ALL funds raised in the Fund-A-Need portion of the evening will be matched, dollar for dollar, by a very generous anonymous donor!
All proceeds support Family Connections’ Nurturing Families, Parent Participation Pre-Kindergarten and Young Scholars programs. Together, these programs touch the lives of more than 600 individuals annually. Our emcee, the Honorable Joe Simitian, and keynote speaker, Ted Lempert, both reflected on the true reach of programs like ours in the communities we serve; a message further underscored by the very personal stories shared by three of our programs’ participants.

“I love attending Family Connections’ family night. I try to get as much information as possible to take home to help myself and even network with my family and friends if they need support too.”
